CON-1555 - Add alias of the Form field to the FieldViewModel

Created by Kunal Bhambhani 12 Jul 2018, 17:42:43 Updated by Robert Copilau 20 Aug 2018, 06:18:13

Your report will have a greater chance of being addressed if you can give us clear steps to reproduce the issue, please answer the following questions in as much detail as possible: What did you do? I have a use case where there are multiple phone fields on the form with the same label/caption. I am trying to create a custom view for the form. Based on which Phone field it is I would like to have custom markup. However, there is no way for me to identify the correct Phone field from the FieldViewModel since it exposes ID and Name but the not the Alias which is what the Form editor had specified.

What did you expect to happen? It would be great if the Alias specified by the Form editor was added to the FieldViewModel available to the view.

What actually happened? The FieldViewModel currently does not have Alias as a property.

What version of Umbraco are you using? 7.10.3

What version of Umbraco Forms or Contour are you using? 7.0.3

Note: Alias is exposed as a property on the Field class in Umbraco Forms.
