The internal backoffice search for content and media only searches on id and nodeName.

This pull request updates the umbracoSettings.config and adds new section where users can add field aliases for content and media. The internal search for content and media will also now take into consideration any fields set in the umbracoSettings.config and used in the internal search.

With ISearchableTree in the core, you can replace the search mechanism for any tree during startup. I would suggest trying this to see if you can achieve what you want before we add any further configuration to the CMS. The docs to replace an ISearchableTree implementation is in this issue description: http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-2676

@Shandem that was my first thought but https://our.umbraco.org/forum/extending-umbraco-and-using-the-api/87990-isearchabletree-issue should raise issue on issue tracker lol

Hey Ismail, it looks like this is resolved? I'll close this for now, make sure to comment if it isn't fixed for you yet.

Is this only fixed for content/media or is it fixed for members too?
