U4-11012 - UPPERCASE special characters in name is not replaced in URL

Created by Niels Lynggaard 26 Feb 2018, 12:45:34 Updated by Sebastiaan Janssen 26 Feb 2018, 16:51:43

Duplicates: U4-1952

Sorry if this is fixed or allready reported, I Couldn't find anything.

It turns out, that after UrlReplacing has been removed from UmbracoSettings.Config, uppercase characters in page names is not handled correctly, thus resulting in URL's with Æ, Ø or Å, but lowercase æøå is replaced fine.

Naming a page "FORÅR" will result in the URL being set to /forår

It should be '/foraar' instad.

Yeah, this has always been the case. After the replacements got removed from the config file, they were just replaced by the defaults.

U4-1952 has a long back and forth explanation of why and how to fix it.
