U4-11366 - Approved color with value 002960 gets truncated to 2960

Created by David Weil 24 May 2018, 14:24:57 Updated by Nemanja Stankovic 11 Jun 2018, 05:29:10

We upgraded a site from 7.3 to 7.10.4. Everything is working fine so far with the exception that certain color values from the 'Approved Color' data type are getting truncated. This happens to all colors starting with 00 followed by numeric value. However, 000AF0 will work just fine.EnablePropertyValueConverters is false as this is an older project. Our workaround is the following: content.GetProperty("bgColor").DataValue.ToString() => 002960 works content.GetPropertyValue("bgColor") => 2960 truncated

Hi @ddweil

I tried to reproduce this on the latest Umbraco source code with property value converters enabled. And it works as it should. I think that is were your problem is.

Can you check if it works with them enabled ?

Dave

I can't as current content queries are failing with property value converters enabled. It's a large project so a re-write is not a viable option.

Hi @dawoe @ddweil ,

Can you confirm that extra # with approved color value is fixed in 7.10.4?

Thanks.

Cheers, Nemanja.
