U4-1348 - Mysql Database install / upgrade doesn't seem to be a very successful area.

I am trying to get the site functioning on the v6 branch, however for some reason none of the db tables seem to actually get created by the installer, is this just an oversight by someone updating things or am I missing something?

I thought maybe it was due to me possibly skipping versions so I went backwards to v4.11 and it upgraded the db and made some changes I believe, then I tried v6 again and this time it is able to load reasonably well however the main site still wont load and pages in the back office are not working for example:

Table 'ls_umbraco.cmspropertytypegroup' doesn't exist Table 'ls_umbraco.cmscontenttype2contenttype' doesn't exist

There doesn't seem to be any sql available to run and I don't really feel like bothering to go through the custom made database files in umbraco to make it up myself after the used time already, anything you can do to help would be appreciated.

Also when the install was failing for some reason before (not to the fault of my mysql server) it would always start complaining about MSSQL connectivity etc so it seems like something needs correcting there perhaps?

I'm open for ideas on this as I'd quite like to get on with developing my site and launching it but based on the history of how database changes are handled I'd rather not risk downgrading again or similar because that I expect would open a whole can of worms which I don't fancy exploring.

Side Note: Is there any IRC server or anything any of the devs hang out on, some form of area to go chat would be very nice to have.

Hey James, sorry for the late reply. At the time you were trying this, we hadn't put the database upgrades in place yet so that's why you were getting the errors about the missing tables. A upgrade should work just fine now.
