U4-1423 - v6 Properties on inherited doctypes causes error during save

Created by Sebastiaan Janssen 09 Jan 2013, 16:41:09 Updated by Sebastiaan Janssen 10 Jan 2013, 13:22:40

I have created two doctypes: MyBase - no properties

  • MySub - 1 property: test2

When I create a node of type MySub and try to save it I get an error in ContentBase.SetValue that No PropertyType exists with the supplied alias: test2 (!)

Then I tried: MyBase2 - 1 property: test1

  • MySub2 - 1 property: test2

When I create a node of type MySub and try to save it I get an error in ContentBase.SetValue that No PropertyType exists with the supplied alias: test1

So for inherited doctypes properties seem to not be inherited properly regardless of the level.

Okay, it seems like this is only an issue if no Tabs are created. I started by trying your second scenario putting each property on its on tab. That worked fine, but if I create a Base with nothing on it and a Sub with one Property under Generel Properties I get the same error with a missing PropertyType.

Fixed in changeset 9c548fcab316 I believe you owe me a Snickers ... Preferably an XL model or a double pack ;)
