U4-1506 - Bad notification links when using SSL

When using SSL the Umbraco notifications send out links with a wrong URL (the page number is wrongly prefixed with 443/)

I set the appSettings / UmbracoUseSSL to fix this. Try that and see how it goes. I have also submitted a change request for the code to work based on the current url regardless of that appSetting but whether or not they change that code, your issue will probably be fixed by updating that setting. Post back here if the issue continues to exist after updating the appSetting.

Just had another report of this. Would love to get this fixed if anyone wants to send a pull request, in the mean time:

  • No, setting umbracoUseSSL to true does not help (but really needs to be done for your site running on https, please set it to true!)
  • A rewrite rule helps though, this is the one I'm using:

Fixed on version 7.8.1. UmbracoUseSSL needs to be set as true for it to work. <add key="umbracoUseSSL" value="true" />
