U4-1541 - Anchor tags in a webkit browser.

Created by Rich Doyle 24 Jan 2013, 17:27:42 Updated by Sebastiaan Janssen 25 Jun 2013, 14:44:03

I've tried to create an anchor tag in a RichTextEditor within Chrome 24.0.1312.56 and Safari 6.0.2 on mac.

In chrome, instead of an anchor tag, it creates a blank img tag: In Safari, instead of an anchor tage, it breaks the dialog box and creates this text: mce_marker

Any idea how to fix this? This is causing the client some frustration. It does work in Firefox but I wanted to see if there was a fix before we told them they needed to install firefox. I'd rather not have to do this.

Degree of Difficulty: Working on a mac. IE not an option.

What version of Umbraco is this please?

Opps. that probably would've helped. . . .Umbraco v (Assembly version: 1.0.4393.24044)

It's a tinymce issue with the version in (tinymce has a custom safari js include) , we saw this and had to have users using firefox.

Updating > 4.11 and to the newer tinymce version resolved.

Thanks, I'll close this issue then as it's fixed in a later version (most likely when we updated the TinyMCE version), nothing we can do for :)
