U4-2092 - 6.1 Beta - Property Alias doesn't auto populate, JS Errors

Created by Tom Fulton 09 Apr 2013, 20:49:30 Updated by Shannon Deminick 28 May 2013, 23:37:27

Is duplicated by: U4-2228

When adding a new doctype property, the "Alias" field doesn't auto-populate as it did in previous versions.

It looks like a JS issue, when typing in the Name field, the console reports:

Uncaught ReferenceError: getSafeAlias is not defined

Hey Tom, I can't reproduce this on the latest nightly. It's probably already fixed. So: right-click document types, "Create" give it a name, hit the button, done, right?

I came across this same issue in nightly build 90 of Umbraco 6.1.0. Seems to only happen some of the time. What build were you testing on, Sebastiaan?

Steps to repro:

  • Create new doctype
  • Try changing the doctype alias
  • You get javascript errors (validateSafeAlias and getSafeAlias)

Seems to only happen when ClientDependencyHandler is processing files.

Updated to latest CDF and all is good.
