U4-2153 - MySQL Error for Backend Homepage in 6.0.4

Created by Brian Powell 25 Apr 2013, 15:38:55 Updated by Sebastiaan Janssen 28 May 2013, 17:26:44

Duplicates: U4-2176

After I upgraded from 6.0.3 to 6.0.4, I now see a MySQL error on the backend homepage when I first sign in. It looks like there is a problem with a SQL statement referencing the UmbracoLog table. I've attached the exception generated by IIS.

I suspect this is a problem with the latestedits usercontrol. Try to disable it in the dashboard. I guess mysql doesn't support "select top 30 from.." queries.

Disabling latestedits worked.

Hi Sebastiaan - I've got the same error - is this due to be fixed in an update soon?

Sorry, this is low priority at the moment, we'd be happy to accept a fix if someone can provide one. Should be pretty easy to make the query compatible with MySQL.

Workaround: remove lastedits from dashboards.config.
