U4-2222 - Feature request 4.7.0 Tinymce Spellchecker through proxy

Created by Haroon Alvi 13 May 2013, 10:11:24 Updated by Sebastiaan Janssen 13 May 2013, 10:56:01

Hi,

I recently noticed that the spell checker in tinymce is not working on the site I work with. Upon investigating, I realised that we needed direct internet access for the spell checker to work. Unfortunately due to security reasons our servers can only connect to the internet through a proxy server -which I am sure might not be a unique case. Do you think it would be possible to add a feature to Umbraco's tinymce spell checker making it configurable for different environments ? Thanks.

Regards Haroon

Sorry, we're not going to support proxies any time soon, but since it's using the HttpWebRequest class it would be easy to write your own little module for it:
