U4-2287 - Umbraco 6.0.5 Prevents Saving of Initializr Bootstrap CSS

Created by Jon Dunfee 28 May 2013, 20:52:11 Updated by Shannon Deminick 26 Jun 2017, 05:41:32

Is duplicated by: U4-4982

  1. Create new stylesheet in Umbraco
  2. Paste the contents of the bootstrap.css included in http://www.initializr.com/ Bootstrap package
  3. Attempt to save and be greeted with error bubble (along with content-missing resource labels [CssErrorHeader] & [CssErrorText], see attached)

To confirm it wasn't permissions, I removed all the contents of the new stylesheet and added some simple definition and saved successfully.

Here's a forum post mentioning a forced character limit: http://our.umbraco.org/forum/ourumb-dev-forum/bugs/36590-CssErrorHeader-and-CssErrorText-when-Saving-CSS

affected versions are probably far more. As this is fixed by an additional setting in the web.config as mentioned in the forum post (see: Jon Dunfee)
