U4-2696 - Prevalue Editors, values are always strings

Created by Per Ploug 22 Aug 2013, 10:38:06 Updated by Per Ploug 30 Sep 2013, 07:41:46

Added a boolean prevalue editor, but it seems values are always stored as strings so true becomes "True" 123 becomes "123" etc , is it possible to store native types or would this require extra configuration?

I'll see what I can do about that and force it to try and convert the saved string value to a real clr type but this will add another config value to the manifest.

nevermind, its how its always been and we shouldnt make this more complex at this point, moved to 7.1

For booleans I've changed the boolean editor to use 0's and 1's anyways. Boolean is really the only thing that doesn't convert too nicely. For numbers you can just do Number(value) in JS to convert to a number, otherwise if you store a JSON object the theory is that you'll get back a JSON object but that still needs to get done. So not sure this really needs to get implemented ?
