U4-2807 - Better error info for: Invalid URI: The hostname could not be parsed.

Created by Murray Roke 07 Sep 2013, 04:33:03 Updated by Sebastiaan Janssen 05 Jun 2015, 16:28:23

Relates to: U4-1269

This exception occurs because your host name is not valid. Ideally the system should report a message that will help me resolve my error, including info such as the relevant node ID

Issue U4-1269 notes the same exception.

Would be nice to show the name of the node and the tree to get there as well (on which the hostname has already been set).

Reproduced on 6.2.0 - the exception sure is a bit cryptic.

Pushed c5197db to 6.2.0 and now we should have a fancy exception message:

System.ArgumentException Failed to parse invalid domain: node id=1057, hostname="bogus\tdomain". Hostname should be a valid uri.
