Basically, in a fresh install of 6.1.5 (using SQL CE) if I try and copy a DocType and select a new master DocType then the DocType is copied but the master is ignored. The copied DocType is not associated with the master.
Steps to reproduce:
Expected result: A new Doc Type called Child (Copy) should be created that has Master as it's master and sits beneath it in the tree.
Actual result: The Child (Copy) is copied but not associated with the master.
I think this bug affects 6.1.4 too, and maybe other editions.
Also affects 6.1.6 too
I've found this to be an issue for 7.0.0 as well (also using SQL CE).
I have found this in 7.0.1. IF you copy a document type with a Master and then select to have NO master the newly created document type is copied with the same master.
I can confirm that selecting a NEW master, the document type will remain in the original master. V7.1
Just testing now but if any of you are online can you let me know if this is only SqlCe or that's all that you've tested it on ?
answered my own question, it's in all db's. fixing now.
OK, I was going to say no, i'm using express.
