U4-3205 - Allow partial view macro view's to exist in an MVC Area folder

Created by Shannon Deminick 21 Oct 2013, 06:23:06 Updated by Shannon Deminick 26 Jun 2017, 05:41:32

Currently they must exist in ~/Views/MacroPartials or ~/App_Plugins/[PackageName]/Views/MacroPartials

but some developers may want to have them stored in a custom MVC Area folder like:

~/Areas/MyArea/Views/MacroPartials

This would be an 'un-breaking' change with legacy razor macros since legacy razor macros could potentially exist there and if they do they would be rendered with the Partial View Macro engine instead - but I'd highly doubt people are storing their legacy razor macros there.

Will check with Sebastian, etc...
