U4-3471 - UI issues - v7 RC

Created by Mark van Schaik 10 Nov 2013, 22:49:57 Updated by Rasmus Eeg Møller 15 May 2014, 13:51:13

Depends on: U4-4947

  • creating new doctypes in settings does not refresh tree or view, so there is no indication that a new doctype has been created when the create button is clicked.
  • clicking on umbraco logo causes slide out window to show, which then cannot be minimised
  • creating new datatypes is impossible in firefox as dropdowns do not work
  • dropdowns generally dont work very well in firefox

Please make sure when you are logging issues that you set the affected version.

I've fixed the tree syncing already.

I can replicate the drop down issue on my machine - very very strange.

I've tested this with just a normal (non-angular data drive) drop down like:

<select name="selectedEditor">
    <option>Hello</option>
    <option>World</option>
</select>

and I still have the problem with that drop down list. There's a bunch of posts on the net about this issue and a lot of them relate to firefox specific issues but say they've been fixed. I've literally just installed FF and have this problem.

It does actually work on other pages, for example: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_select

Not sure what's going on, will assign to Per as maybe he knows if it's a styling issue.

That dropdown issue is really odd, investigating

Cool thanks for investigating Shannon

found the issue, its because of a trigger in bootstrap, will get it patched

nice.

Shannon Deminick 14 Nov 2013, 21:58:59

nice sleuthing work!

Per Ploug 15 Nov 2013, 07:37:36

great, so this was caused by a combo of ng-touch module screwing up selects and bootstraps hover-state handling, anyways, fixed both of these, so now firefox selects will work again
