U4-3479 - Right click should work on entire li-element in tree

Created by W. Paap 11 Nov 2013, 10:32:26 Updated by Per Ploug 29 Nov 2013, 09:14:56

The right-click function like it is, only works when you right-click the text in the li-element of the content tree. This is confusing for users.

In the final of Umbraco the right click only works on the icon of the element. Editors would expect that they could right click almost the entire UI element. So think the right click should embrace the editor a bit more :p

there is another issue on this subject, current conclusion is that firefox's right-click handling is bonkers - which is also the whole reason for us introducing the left-click menu, right-clicking is meant as a fallback, but it is on the radar that right-clicks are not 100% there on firefox
