U4-3501 - Error when selecting multiple items with the media picker in v7

Created by Simon Milling Mikkelsen 12 Nov 2013, 21:11:45 Updated by Shannon Deminick 18 Nov 2013, 23:01:42

I've created a document type, where I i have added a property of type Media Picker.

When I edit the page, and try to select two or more items, it seems like it works. Until i click save, then i get the following error:

'''The value Umbraco.Core.Models.Editors.ContentPropertyData cannot be converted to the type Integer'''

When i only select one item, it works fine

That's because we need to make a separate multi-media picker for this. In v6 you could only select one item and it would save it by it's ID in the INT field in the database. So to maintain backwards compatibility, the standard media picker will be changed to not allow for multi-select and we'll create a separate property editor to allow for multi-media picking.

This is fixed, the default media picker is only single selection and will store as INT id in the db, but there's now a new Multiple Media Picker property editor that you can use to multi-select media.

I like that most issue I run into is fixed :-)

Would it be possible to make a nightly available on nuget? pretty please.

We cannot provide nightlies on Nuget, you can download nightlies from our server: http://nightly.umbraco.org/umbraco%207.0.0/

Actually.. :-) We have nightlies on MyGet: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/umbraco-dev/_N6L-lnMYWk/bsJ5wLrWsEwJ Don't forget to change the NuGet settings to allow Pre-Release versions.
