U4-357 - Incorrect url used in GzipModule Disables Rich text editor in Port Forward environment

Created by Sebastiaan Janssen 19 Aug 2012, 14:51:27 Updated by Sebastiaan Janssen 23 Aug 2012, 15:53:47

I have an environment where incomming requests are made on port 80 to a load balancer. These are then forwarded to the web server on port 8080.

I have found that if you add a Rich text editor box to a document type and then visit the site using the load balancer url the rich text editor will fail to load in the back office.

As far as I can tell when the code is being loaded into the interface it is being parsed through GzipModule and this is creating a url thats based on the visited server port number not the actual URL the user is making requests to.

Would it be possible to remove the domain completely from the GzipModule? The would mean any incomming request would use the server domain making the request.
