U4-3671 - Global.asax is not included in the project file.

Created by Mikael Syska 22 Nov 2013, 09:24:08 Updated by Sebastiaan Janssen 18 Mar 2014, 18:21:34

Steps to reproduce:

  • Start VS 2012
  • Create a new Empty Web Project.
  • Install UmbracoCms via NuGet.
  • Global.asax is there but not included in the Project file, which does that the site does not work if you use WebDeployment to push the site to IIS.

This is also the case for the following items:

  • \config\splashes
  • \App_Browsers (and how about the other App_* folders?)

Mikael Syska 22 Nov 2013, 13:19:39

For the App_Browsers, umbraco and umbraco_client are included with a BuildTask or what ever is called in VS.

umbraco\%(RecursiveDir)%(Filename)%(Extension) umbraco_client\%(RecursiveDir)%(Filename)%(Extension) App_Browsers\%(RecursiveDir)%(Filename)%(Extension)

You might be right about the splashes.

Aight, that answers that. I'm sure about the splashes, because I've deployed a clean version via WebDeploy and the NoNodes splash screen was not found ;-)

Fixed in revs 9eea8c85e0f6086e898fda32307c7c606f63052b / 1a40ccc8389ec7d96166549a20f2ba2944ec8dd4

Same fix as for App_Browsers, they will be included when publishing.
