U4-3677 - Multinode tree picker does not save content when node type is set to Media

Created by Elliot Spaull 22 Nov 2013, 12:29:23 Updated by Shannon Deminick 25 Nov 2013, 05:58:44

  1. Create a new data type from the Multinode Tree Picker property editor.
  2. Set node type to 'Media'.
  3. Add new data type to a document type.
  4. In the content section, selected nodes are not saved when publishing the page.

It seems the Id's are being saved (see attached screen shot of the umbraco.config xml) - the problem is the editor is not showing the saved images.

I saw a similar problem before: check if there's an assembly redirect to System.Net.Http v2.0.0 in your web.config file. If so, make sure to remove the assemblyBinding. That should solve this issue. I am working out how exactly this thing gets added (it's not in Umbraco out of the box but it's something that comes in through NuGet).

Hi Sebastiaan, I had a look in my web.config but couldn't find any assembly redirects. I also tried installing a fresh version of Umbraco 7 without using NuGet and am running into the same issue.

I add the MNTP data type to, for example, my Home document type and head over to Home in the content section. I hit 'Add' and select the images I want to add, then hit 'Select' to confirm my selection. I'll then Save and Publish the page, and then refresh the Umbraco back office, open up my Home page again, and the selections that I made aren't displayed in the MNTP section.

Mike is correct though, they are actually being saved, just not displayed!

Thanks for your quick response, hope you can get this fixed.
