If you modify the existing Richtext Editor or create a new one and set the dimensions to something you want it always displays using the default width and height. The same thing happens if you try to change options to be displayed in the toolbar. Tested in Chrome and IE10, same issue in both.
I can only partly replicate this, I can set editor height and icons for the editor, but width is not correct, guess its over-ridden by the editors css
Haha, I just realized that the dimensions are listed as height x width and not width x height. I'm not sure if that's a European thing, but normally it's standard to list width first (reference any graphics app like Photoshop or Illustrator, width always comes first). My fault for not testing both, I tested the one repeatedly as it was what I wanted to adjust so assumed the other wouldn't work. Icon changes are still inconsistent, maybe caching related? Edit: and I agree, height seems to work (if you change the first param) but width is always ignored.
You are right :) I've changed the order of the fields, and added some help text, so its always clear what order they should be in
