In Umbraco 4 and 6 it's possible to translate property names, descriptions, tabs, document type names etc. using dictionary items, which makes it possible to tailtor the user interface to the language of the user logged in.
Just tested this in Umbraco 7 and currently it does not seem to be supported. Don't know if it's by decision or by mistake? Or postponed to a later version?.
pull request is here: https://github.com/umbraco/Umbraco-CMS/pull/282 I just need to review it
Vietnamese Masterclass students would love this. Asked about this specifically
Would it also be possible to add dictionary values into the "Description"-field using the # notation so as to be able to make localized help-texts for each property? And I would really like the same possibility for the tab-names as well.
@frankschj can you please open an new issue as a feature request for this (this issue is now closed)?
