Created by Mads Sørensen 20 Dec 2013, 09:29:13 Updated by Mads Sørensen 20 Dec 2013, 13:02:15

Hi Guys It's not possible to move my images from a folder to the root node in the media section. When i try to do this umbraco gives me an error.

I'm using umbraco 7.0.1

Seems to be because there's too strict a check on "Allow at root". Go into the media types > Image > Structure and set "allow at root" to true. You might want to do this for folders and files as well then.

On document types we check to see if no types are allowed at root then implictly all types are allowed, I suspect this is handled slightly differently for media types.

Hi Sebastiaan, i must say i really have some problems with the media section. I've just installed a fresh version of 7.0.1 and i can't se my media structure when i'll try to pick something with my media picker. Do you have any idea what is happening?

Nope. Different issue (U4-3929) did the "Allow at root" thing help?

Hi, Sebastian, i maybethink this have something todo with my webhotel provider, UnoEuro. I've just tested both my requests on a local machine without any problems.

Your first suggestion helped me at my local install

Alright, if I remember correctly UnoEuro is based on MySQL, we can't guarantee that will work well with v7.

Ok, i was using the simple install database because they don't support MsSql, unless you paying extra. What are your suggestion of hosting provider?
