U4-4095 - Missing Keys in English US Language File

Created by Kyle Paul Johnson 20 Jan 2014, 18:02:41 Updated by Sebastiaan Janssen 03 Apr 2014, 18:52:41

Relates to: U4-4179

When using English US for your back office language, there is a good number of missing language keys. Switching to English UK seems to fix this.

Gotcha, for now just copy the contents of /Umbraco/lang/en.xml into /Umbraco/lang/en_us.xml and you're good to go.

An example:

en_US.xml includes: log in below: is topText alias used?

On the other hand en.xml includes these keys, which not is included in en_US.xml log in below Session timed out

The en.xml is the most current one, some keys have been deleted/renamed in favor of new ones.

As I said, copy en into en_us and you're done.

The es.xml language file has a lot of missing keys too. Could I translate it for you so you could include it in new versions?
