In Umbraco v7.0.x, if you using nested dictionary items, when you select a nested item, the tree will collapse, so that you can not see where you are at.

Still can reproduce this in 7.1, very difficult to mass add / edit dictionary items

I concur, the ability to nest dictionary items is a powerful feature, but because of this bug it is nearly impossible to use dictionary items on a larger scale. It seems the dictionary item editing is still using the legacy iframe solution, I assume this issue won't be looked into before the dictionary item editing is converted to the new AngularJS method.

Is there any well informed source that can provide any indication as to when this bug is scheduled to be looked into?

Thanks in advance

Seeing this issue in 7.1.3

In addition, 2 other things that make it a nightmare to find and edit a dictionary item:

  1. You can't drag open the main vertical divider to see long dictionary names (unless anyone can tell me how to do this?)
  2. When you hover over the dictionary items the title bar just shows "/umbraco", so you can't tell from this what the item is

So you have to click to find out what a dictionary item is...and then the tree collapses

Made a small temporary fix while we wait for angularification. :) https://github.com/umbraco/Umbraco-CMS/pull/387

Pretty sure this would be an issue in 6.x too?

Yup it does, have merged the pr to 6.2.1 as well.

Thanks a bunch guys, we use dictionaries pretty extensively and this issue is really annoying, can't wait for this to trickle down the official release stream.
