U4-4417 - Umbraco 7 radiobuttons control always uses name 'checkboxlist'

Created by Robert Mulder 12 Mar 2014, 20:22:43 Updated by Jeroen Breuer 02 Apr 2014, 14:57:39

Duplicates: U4-4278

When using a property with the data type 'radiobox' in Umbraco 7 it will use the view from the location: /umbraco/views/radiobuttons/radiobuttons.html

In this view the name of the input is hard coded to 'checkboxlist'. If you use this data type for more than one property this means you can only pick one value for all the radioboxes instead of one value per property.

I've solved it locally by changing the name attribute to name="{{model.alias || 'checkboxlist'}}"

It's fixed in this pull request: https://github.com/umbraco/Umbraco-CMS/pull/302/files

Ah, thanks Jeroen. I guess I should've checked for existing pull requests too. I only looked for existing issues.

Hopefully someone on the dev team will pick it up soon. I don't like making changes to core Umbraco files if I can help it.
