I created an MVC 4 Empty web project

I install Umbraco 7.0.4 via nuget

At the Database setup step I chose a sql server 2012

I installed Text starter kit

I successfully logged in to the backend, no error.

I then upgrade to 7.1.0 RC via nuget

Merge web.config files

I successfully logged in to the backend.

Go to the settings section and try to edit a Document Type, and now i get a server error, see attachment.

  • But if i do the same procedure '''without Nuget, it works'''

Alright guys, the simple solution is the following: manually copy over the umbraco and umbraco_client folders from either the release zip file or your nuget packages folder (packages\UmbracoCms.7.1.0-RC\UmbracoFiles)

By default a NuGet upgrade tries to be non-desctructive which means that it doesn't overwrite the files in the umbraco and umbraco_client folder. For the final release I'll update the NuGet file so that this will work properly.

Thank you, the temporary solution seems to be working
