When uploading a new file (e.g. PDF) with a different file name to a existing media item, all references in rich text editor content still points to the old file (or results a broken link, if old file was removed during upload). Isn't it possible to use the current file path (dynamically) to the latest uploaded file? Alternatively the upload process could be changed in order to use the same (existing) file name automatically when uploading a new file to an existing media item (so the new file name would be ignored and overriden), it would directly assure that all content references point to the updated file, which would be a great improvement!
Background: With the current solution it happens often that editors upload new files to existing media items and expect that any links to the media on any page point to the latest file (as it works to move media items in the tree without breaking anything), but that isn't working as expected, which results in broken links or links to the previous files. It is then hard to identify all the places where the media item is references and update it manually.
