Using 6.1.6, if you use the paste from Word feature in IE10/11, you get a slightly different result to Chrome/Firefox. If the word document has font styling, in IE10/11, the paste from word feature leaves the font styles attached to some spans. In Chrome/Firefox, the font styles are removed.
I've only had a brief look at this so far (the issue was reported by one of our clients), but it looks like the issue could be related to the regex that is used possibly? If you change the config setting for the plugin to disallow spans, it removes all spans and styling, but in IE, it strips all of the styling fro the spans, but leaves the empty spans behind (Chrome/Firefox remove the spans entirely, as expected).
Interestingly, using the paste from word button in an older version of Umbraco, with the same text (4.7 in this case), resulted in more consistent behaviour between the browsers.
