U4-4991 - Developer - Data Types - PreValues becomes readonly when distributedCall is enabled

Created by Wincent 26 May 2014, 15:06:01 Updated by Wincent 28 May 2014, 09:51:59

Relates to: U4-4704

There was a similar issue with distributed call in U4-4704

1.) Add the following to umbracoSettings.config :

0 localhost

2.) Log in to /umbraco backoffice, go to Developer, Data Types, click on a document type with prevalues (for example "Richtext editor".

3.) Update any prevalue, click on "Save"

===

Expected result: The new prevalue(s) should be displayed in the prevalue editor Actual result: When distributedCall is enabled the editor is still showing the old prevalue after save.

I cannot replicate this, see: http://screencast.com/t/2XFGUPzzLXN

Perhaps you have some configuration issues with your load balancing setup. do you get any errors in your logs ? If you are using distributed calls you'd generally have more than 1 server listed in your config, you only have one. Please provider more details about your load balance setup and please check your logs (for all servers involved in your load balancing)

Ahh! now I get it. You are supposed to list all servers, not just the ones that you want to recieve updates.

Added the backoffice server to distributedCall - now it works as expected.
