U4-5024 - Image Cropper focal point positioning delay

Created by Arie 31 May 2014, 14:37:24 Updated by Shannon Deminick 26 Jun 2017, 07:13:12

More often than not, the focal point takes a (very) long time to be positioned at its previous position when I access a node that uses the cropper. It is first shown at the top left of the image. Sometimes it's moved to the correct position (almost) right away, but many times it takes 10-30 seconds.

Update: I just discovered that the focal point is moved to the correct position immediately if I resize the browser window after accessing the tab that contains the Image Cropper.

It will also update if you open a developer window or click on the page. However without these actions the focal point can take over a minute to re-position after the image &tab has loaded. It looks like it has failed to a editor so they are constantly trying to re-position it manually.
