U4-5090 - MCE macros stop rendering when published but remain in the property value.

Created by Andrew Munro 13 Jun 2014, 20:19:24 Updated by Shannon Deminick 26 Jun 2017, 05:39:42

I'm not sure which version this became a problem but we've noticed that once we hit save on nodes containing macros, they stopped rendering. They won't appear on the fronted or in back office. The macro markup is still in the property editor and can be viewed using the HTML source view.

For example, the page and MCE editor will not display the macro but the following will be in the property

Once we remove and re-add the macro, it works consistently. The problem is that we use hundreds of macros and we can't re-add every one of them

I've attached a screenshot of our cmsPropertyData table because I noticed our macros are being stored two different ways. Not sure if this is relevant or not.

What version are you on now? And did you upgrade from any particular version?

Hey Sebastiaan - We're on 7.1.3 right now and have followed regular upgrades as they are released.
