When you copy a complete branch of the content tree, it takes some time before the copy dialog updates. This allows the user to click the "ok" button again, which renders multiple sub-nodes.
A immediate disable of the "ok" button could easily prevent.

Disable the button with javascript after it's clicked the first time.
