Various issues have been reported about Content Type Composition in 7.2 beta releases. This issue exists to group them all and discuss.

Don't know if its allready been mentioned, but:

You can't have multiple compositions that are sibblings and share their parents hierarchy. This is my biggest issue.
If you uncheck the parent doctypes as compositions, the doctype original hierarchy position is being saved. I think it should be moved in the right hierarchy then.
When saving the doctype, the checkboxes dont get updated. You first need to open another doctype and then reopen the saved one.

Some tips and thougths

Perhaps the "document types" and the "document compositions" should be split up as two total different sections? That way you can do you hierarchy in the "doc.types" and the compositions in the "doc.compositions" folder
prefixing compositions with an underscore when they are not a real page, just properties
Show the composition checkboxes also in hierarchy
