U4-5909 - In Umbraco 7.2 RC, making a column in row 0 wide messes up layout

Created by Søren Reinke 28 Nov 2014, 08:05:52 Updated by Shannon Deminick 26 Jun 2017, 06:40:03

If i make a row with 3 columns sized 4 each, everything is fine.

Then i change the middle column to width 0, then the preview in the right hand side is correct.

But the preview in the middle of the screen still shows the 0 wide column, with a little more distance between the 2 other columns as shown in picture 1.jpg, in bottom row.

If i then change the right side column to a width of 8, then the small preview on the middle of the screen fails, as shown in 2.jpg, where it is suddently 2 lines. the preview in the row editor on the rigth hand side is correct.

@Per.Ploug Not sure it makes sense to have a column of width 0? But I might just be missing something. :)

We have a couple of clean-up methods to normally handle this, when the config is saved it should clean those up, will have a look to see if there are ways to avoid the clean-up - but yeah, the preview might look strange while the column-0 element is there

Sebastiaan i was wondering why it was allowed to set it to zero, i guess only allowing a width from 1 to 12 would fix the problem.

Unfortunately i don't have the time to make a pull request myself at the moment :(
