U4-5926 - Umbraco 7 RTE Table Editor lacking features found in previous versions

Created by Joshua Stewart 02 Dec 2014, 20:01:24 Updated by Shannon Deminick 26 Jun 2017, 06:40:03

The Umbraco 7 RTE Table Editor is lacking features such as adding class names to tables and the ability to set vertical alignment of table cells. The V7 editor should have the same features as previous versions.

In addition, if you try to work-around these limitations by utilizing the Tiny MCEConfig and set a default class on tables using table[class=rte_table] or to valign td tags using td[valign=top] it breaks the table editor. The code that does the style inserts no longer executes because these properties are present - failing with:

TypeError: srcAttr is undefined var path = srcAttr.split("?")[0];
