U4-6126 - Umbraco URL Aliases Break When Using Uppercase Aliases

Created by Jay 14 Jan 2015, 11:43:24 Updated by russellshome 12 Aug 2018, 22:28:21

Using the special umbracoUrlAlias property, it is possible to provide a url with a permanent alias.

Umbraco expects lowercase letters here. Using uppercase letters will break the alias. A url request for the specified alias will simply display an error message.

If Umbraco requires aliases to be lower case, it should simply enforce lower casing in the umbracoUrlAlias property input.
