U4-6306 - Can No Longer Set Localhost Port for Hostname

Created by Nicholas Westby 21 Feb 2015, 02:38:01 Updated by Stephan 16 Mar 2015, 16:17:33

Relates to: U4-6184

I used to be able to assign ports when assigning hostnames to nodes, which was very useful when debugging in Visual Studio. However, when I try that now, I get this error: !error.png!

Please fix this, as working in Visual Studio is now a huge PITA.

By the way, this was for a site I created on Umbraco 7.1.8, and upgraded to 7.2.2.

I'm thinking the fix for this other issue may have caused my issue.

workaround: "http://localhost:1234/" seems to work - it's a weird javascript validation issue

Should be fixed with 4974e2a2ce40aeb3e97e5cb428b22867ce8aaeaa - note that the regex validation of hostnames is by no means "complete" and probably allows hostnames that are technically not valid - but that's enough for us.
