All of these property editors do essentially the same thing. They allow you to pick something and get a URL as a result (as well as potentially some meta-information, such as file attributes on media). This would be much more useful as a single property editor with these aspects:

  • You can configure it to allow all or some of the pickable types (content / media / link).
  • You can set limits (to allow for selection of single items, multiple items, and maybe even min/max items).
  • Any change made to this one property editor would be usable for all types of pickable items.
  • You can set a start node for content and a start node for media.

If this were implemented as a dialog (that shows up on the right of the page), it could also be used as the main link picker for the rich text editor (in fact, that's basically what it's already doing).

Oh, I forgot to mention one thing. On the settings page when creating a data type for the property editor, you'd probably want to have an option to hide/show "New Window" and "Label" properties. The idea is that from this combined property editor, you'd be able to create any data type possible with the other property editors (and more).
