U4-6545 - Image Cropper - scale image used for preview

Created by Bjarne Fyrstenborg 22 Apr 2015, 21:03:34 Updated by Shannon Deminick 26 Jun 2017, 07:11:21

I noticed when you use the Image Cropper property editor and upload a large image e.g. 1500 x 1000 px, it has the following inline css for the element:

max-width: 100%;
max-height: 100%;

and the parent

element with a class "viewport":

.umb-cropper-gravity .viewport {
  position: relative;
  width: 400px;
  height: 300px;
  overflow: hidden;

so the image is scaled to 400 x 300 px, but it still load the natural image on 1500 x 1000 px. Maybe the image used for preview could be scaled a bit? If it only is needed in a width of 400px.

However it use the fullsize image, when you enter "crop mode" and zoom in.. maybe it could request the fullsize image then, when the editor enter "crop mode"?
