U4-6855 - ITag does not expose the property it belongs to

Created by Per Ploug 20 Jul 2015, 07:44:22 Updated by Shannon Deminick 20 Jul 2015, 11:46:10

You can currenly only query for tags on an entity or for tags in a specific property on an entity - in some cases it is needed to be able to get all tags from an entity grouped by property - or in some other way be possible to get the property from the ITag itself - otherwise we cannot transfer the tag between environments correctly

Hrm, there'll have to be a different way to do what you want. ITag is just a tag, it has no context, nor should it. The TaggedEntity model contains the information you want which has tag information with a context of where it belongs. Doesn't that model provide you with the info you need?

Ahh yes, that would work, if we could do: tagService.GetTaggedEntityByKey(guid) or getTaggedEntityByid(int)

I've added these methods:

    TaggedEntity GetTaggedEntityById(int id);
    TaggedEntity GetTaggedEntityByKey(Guid key);
