U4-6871 - CoreBootManager.CreateApplicationContext & CoreBootManager.CreateApplicationCache returns the instance instead of setting the singleton

Created by Shannon Deminick 23 Jul 2015, 16:18:36 Updated by Shannon Deminick 23 Jul 2015, 16:26:59

This method in CoreBootManager:

protected virtual void CreateApplicationContext(DatabaseContext dbContext, ServiceContext serviceContext)

will be changed to:

protected virtual ApplicationContext CreateApplicationContext(DatabaseContext dbContext, ServiceContext serviceContext)

and instead of being responsible for setting the ApplicationContext singleton, it's responsible for returning an instance and the core will take care of setting the singleton from this response.

Similarly the method:

protected virtual void CreateApplicationCache()

will be changed to:

protected virtual CacheHelper CreateApplicationCache()

This is a breaking API change.
