It would be nice to be able to toggle the visibility (show/hide) of the password in login screen, e.g. like when you login on Windows.

Have re-implemented with a directive, PR is https://github.com/umbraco/Umbraco-CMS/pull/2246

test = test that it works on the main login screen on most browsers

should it be considered ok, maybe we want to apply it to other password inputs?

Great job guys, I have tested the feature using Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera and all yielded the same results except IE 11, which on show/hide password it would shrink the "crossed eye" icon (.gif in the attachments).

I took it upon myself to fix it as it was quite simple. I have added width='32' height='32' parameters to [type="text"] background-image for the "crossed eye" icon and that fixed it. Merging :D.
