U4-7630 - Cannot save a document type when it has a date picker required property with the new property type editor in 7.4

Created by Blake Clerke 31 Dec 2015, 00:53:21 Updated by Claus Jensen 17 Jan 2017, 07:36:43

Is duplicated by: U4-7689

Background: I upgraded a 7.3 site to 7.4 beta to test it out. The initial build was using mostly document type inheritance with some compositions.

Issue: I have an article document type that has a date picker property that is required. When I try to make any changes to that document type, I get an error saying validation errors must be fixed before the item can be saved (picture). All I have checked on that property is field is mandatory (picture).

I'm observing this on 7.3.4 too. Can't even save document when it have mandatory fields not passing validation.

This is marked as fixed and the PR says it is merged into 7.4.0. However, on 7.4.1 I cannot save a document that has blank required properties (textstring, MNTP)

@barryfogarty Could you elaborate a bit. You say you cannot save a document that has a blank required property. This is how it is supposed to be?
