Created by Mark Wemekamp 18 Feb 2016, 19:26:41 Updated by Sebastiaan Janssen 30 Jan 2018, 19:28:12

I tried installing Umbraco 7.4.1 with nuget on my local system and encountered the error below

For the database settings I selected SQL Server and localhost with integrated authentication and I didn't select a starter template

After checking the database I saw the installer didn't create any tables in the database.

You sure this is 7.4.1? We fixed a similar issue with cookies.. so: try to delete your localhost cookies (or open a private browser window) and try again. If that helps we'll need to look again at ignoring old cookies in a better way.

Also: I'd be curious to know if at this point the umbraco version in web.config is empty and if the connection string is empty?

Hi Sebastiaan, thanks for the quick reply. I'm sure it was v7.4.1. This morning I cleared my cookies, tried again with a fresh install and everything installed as expected. I forgot to check the old web.config before installing again so I can't say anything about the version or connection string.

Thanks, this helped me out too, I cleared cookies and the install worked fine.

We had this error too on first install (empty DB). The problem was the URLTracker package.

If you fill in the connectionstring, umbracoconfigstatus empty, URLTracker created his own table first.

Our solution was to clear the connectionstring, and run via the default install wizard.

This happened to me on a 7.5.4 clean nuget install. I overtook it opening with a private browser window!

@rmrmarcelino this just happened to me too... new website, clean install 7.5.4 from nuget and open in private window. @sebastiaan how can I help to debug this?

Had similar issue, but was caused by setting up the connectionstring before running the installer. Run the installer without connection string set and the installer will ask for it.

Closing this as we don't have a way to reproduce and this hasn't been updated for over a year. Assuming the error is fixed now!
