It would be really cool if grid editors was available as tree nodes in core - similar to LeBlender package. E.g. for creating packages it would also be nice with the option the select grid editors the include in the package.
Hi @Bjarne.Fyrstenborg - sorry for the very late reply! 🙈
At this point we don't plan to integrate this functionality into Umbraco, we encourage you to keep using LeBlender for that.
I think it would still make sense to have this part in core, since grid editors is a big part of many Umbraco websites these days. When I started working with Umbraco about v4.3 I loved that I could do all the basic stuff from backoffice to create a website. But for grid editors you have to either open the /config/grid.editors.config.js via your favorite code editor (or notepad) to modify this - or use a package like LeBlender to modify this (which unfortunately doesn't support grid editors in any of the folders in "App_Plugins", e.g. it doesn't find the grid editor which comes with this package: https://our.umbraco.com/projects/backoffice-extensions/h-tag-grid-editor/ ).
Maybe it could be considered for v2 of the grid editor?
@Bjarne.Fyrstenborg Yep, you're right! Let's put it on the list for things we'd love to have at some point.
