When a content item has been renamed or moved in the tree, there will be 301 redirects pointing to it.
To make clear which redirects lead to that page, we can make a list of redirects under the current URL of the page (so on the properties tab of that content item).
This could be a long list, so maybe make it expandable if it has more than x items.
Started on this with the following commit: https://github.com/bomortensen/Umbraco-CMS/commit/b8a52f76a80c55e67dc84dcca1d6ddf481a4bb21
My idea is to make the list of redirect urls paged (paging will only be shown if it's necessary)
Comments and pointers are more than welcome :-)
Paging certainly sounds like a good idea - there will for sure be pages that get moved around so much that it would generate a long list of URLs. I'm moving this one away from the current sprint and 'due in' until it is a bit more polished and ready to be pulled in.
@claus does this mean it's still up for grabs? :-) I've wanted to finish the implementation, but caught a week-long cold :-(
Sorry, I was messing with the settings, didn't know I was able to change the cases.
It should be back to normal, and AFAIK still be Up for grabs, @bo_mortensen :)
@SorenG ah, alrighty - thanks! I'll continue my work on it then :-D
Task is still up for grabs for you :) .. of course anyone is always welcome to chip in with comments/code if they have some suggestions!
Thanks @claus. And yes, comments, code and/or suggestions are more than welcome :-)
