U4-9620 - Exceptions are thrown when editing nodes after renaming a document type

dev-v7.6 branch:

  1. Create document type MyDocumentType (allow in root)
  2. Create document document of type MyDocumentType in root
  3. Rename document type to MyDocumentTypeRenamed
  4. Go to edit the document you created ... this is where I get automapper exceptions.

Put a breakpoint here: https://github.com/umbraco/Umbraco-CMS/blob/dev-v7.6/src/Umbraco.Core/Cache/HttpRequestCacheProvider.cs#L139

ContentTypeService failed to find a content type with alias \"myDocumentType\

It seems like the actual content is not updated to using the renamed document type.

Note: works fine in 7.5.x branch - have tested just to be sure.

What version/alpha/commit of 7.6 exposes the error? Cannot repro in alpha074.

Reproduced

Can you try again in branch temp-U4-9462? Looks like it's part of that other issue fixes.

Have commented on http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-9462

Unfortunately it is not fixed in that branch.

Fixed as part of U4-9462

Marking this issue as fixed as it is fixed in U4-9462.
